John Harold Kander (born March 18, 1927) is the American composer of a number of musicals as part of the songwriting team of Kander and Ebb.
Kander was born in Kansas City, Missouri, the son of Bernice (née Aaron) and Harold S. Kander. Kander attended The Pembroke Country-Day School and Oberlin College before earning a Master’s degree at Columbia University. He began his Broadway career as substitute rehearsal pianist for West Side Story. The stage manager for West Side Story then asked Kander to play the auditions for her next show, Gypsy. During the auditions, Kander met the choreographer, Jerome Robbins, who suggested that Kander compose the dance music for the show in 1959. After that experience, he wrote dance arrangements for Irma la Douce in 1960. His first produced musical was A Family Affair, written with James and William Goldman. In 1965, he teamed up with Fred Ebb to write Flora the Red Menace, produced by Hal Prince, directed by George Abbott, and with book by George Abbott and Robert Russell, in which Liza Minnelli made her initial Broadway appearance. In the same year rising star Barbra Streisand recorded
two of the duo’s songs, “My Coloring Book” and “I Don’t Care Much.” It proved to be a success and launched the pair’s career. Kander and Ebb have since been associated with writing material for both Liza Minnelli and Chita Rivera, and have produced special material for their appearances live and on television.
The musicals Cabaret and Chicago have been made into films; the film version of Chicago won the 2002 Academy Award for Best Picture.

Rolf Harris, CBE, AM (born 30 March 1930), is an Australian/British musician, singer, composer, painter, and television host and personality.
Harris has been credited with inventing a simple home-made instrument called the wobble board. This discovery was accidentally made in the course of his work when he attempted to dry a freshly painted hardboard with added heat, from hearing the sound made by the board as he shook it by the short edges to cool it off. He suggests the effect can best be obtained through faint bouncing of a tempered hardboard or a thinner MDF board between the palms of one’s hands.

John Paul Young (born 21 June 1950 in Glasgow, Scotland) (known as JPY or Squeak to fans) is an Australian pop singer-songwriter who had a 1978 worldwide hit with “Love Is in the Air”. Initially performing as John Young, he was associated with songwriters/producers, Vanda & Young (ex-The Easybeats), who provided him with “Love Is in the Air”, “Yesterday’s Hero”, “I Hate the Music” and “Standing in the Rain”, his career was boosted by regular appearances as a performer and guest host on national broadcaster, ABC’s 1974–1987 TV series, Countdown. For touring purposes he fronted The All Stars, who also worked with Vanda & Young’s former bandmate Stevie Wright. The All Stars included, Warren Morgan (ex-Chain, Billy Thorpe & the Aztecs) on piano and vocals, who co-wrote songs with Young. Besides, “Love Is in the Air”, Young had top ten chart success in Germany and The Netherlands with “Standing in the
Rain” and four other top ten hits in South Africa, including #1 hits with “I Hate the Music” in 1976 and “Yesterday’s Hero” in 1977.
On 27 August 2009, Young was inducted into the Australian Recording Industry Association (ARIA) Hall of Fame alongside Kev Carmody, The Dingoes, Little Pattie and Mental As Anything.

Lonestar is an American country music group consisting of lead singer Cody Collins, Michael Britt (lead guitar, background vocals), Keech Rainwater (drums) and Dean Sams (keyboard, melodica, background vocals). Collins replaced former lead vocalist Richie McDonald, who left in November 2007 for a solo career. John Rich, was also the band’s bass guitarist and second lead vocalist until 1998, when he left for a solo career of his own, before founding the duo Big & Rich in 2003. Since Rich’s departure, Lonestar has not had an official bass guitarist.
Lonestar made its debut on the Billboard country music charts in 1995 with the Top 10 single “Tequila Talkin’”. Since then, they have amassed a total of twenty-seven singles on the country charts, with nine of those singles reaching Number One. Their biggest crossover hit was 1999′s “Amazed”, a crossover hit that reached Number One on both the country charts and the Billboard Hot 100, becoming the first single to do so since Kenny Rogers and Dolly Parton’s “Islands in the Stream” in 1983. To date, the group has also recorded eight studio albums and a Greatest Hits compilation; three of their albums have been certified gold, while three more have been certified platinum or higher.

Arthur Ira “Art” Garfunkel (born November 5, 1941) is an American singer, poet and actor, best known as half of the folk duo Simon & Garfunkel.
Garfunkel pursued an acting career in the early 1970s, appearing in two Mike Nichols films Catch-22 (1970), where he played the 19-year old naive Captain Nateley, and Carnal Knowledge (1971), where he played the idealistic Sandy.
Gary Arnold of the Washington Post wrote of Garfunkel’s performance as Nately saying, “He embodies a kind of youthful sweetness and idealism that the material desperately needs in the face of so many manic and inhuman characters.” TIME Magazine wrote of Garfunkel’s performance as Sandy, “Singer Art Garfunkel has become an authentic screen presence, one of the few American actors who can portray naiveté.”
Garfunkel performed the theme song for the 1991 television series, Brooklyn Bridge, and “The Ballad of Buster Baxter” for a 1998 episode of the children’s educational television series Arthur, where he was depicted as a singing/narrator moose. Garfunkel’s performance of Monty Python member Eric Idle’s “Always Look on the Bright Side of Life” was used in the end credits of the 1997 film As Good as It Gets.
